We have before us for disposition a motion for summary judgment filed by defendants. The statute of limitations was timely pled as an affirmative defense, and a motion for summary judgment was filed.

Plaintiff instituted suit against the defendants by filing a praecipe for a writ of summons on March 4, 1991. The said writ was delivered to the sheriff, and the sheriff was instructed to hold the writ and not attempt service...
