Plaintiff brought this wrongful discharge suit against his former employers, Automobile Club of Michigan and the Auto Club Insurance Association (which hereinafter will be treated as a single defendant). Following trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff on claims of breach of contract, age discrimination, and mental distress, for a total award of $300,500. The trial court granted defendant's motion for remittitur and reduced the award...
