Flanagan Shipping Corporation appeals from the trial court's adjudication of liability against them based on negligence and Louisiana Civil Code article 2317 (unreasonably dangerous instrumentalities), and the award of damages in favor of Mr. and Mrs. Scamardo for $528,889.17, based on loss of consortium, general damages, lost past and future wages, and medical expenses.
