We granted a writ of review in this case to determine whether the purchaser of a defective or useless vehicle which has not caused physical injury can recover damages for emotional distress. For the reasons which follow, we conclude that such purchasers can recover mental anguish damages caused by purchase of the defective product even though the product is not unreasonably dangerous and they have not sustained physical injuries, but only...
