Defendant, Dylan Perkins was charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of La.R.S. 14:62.2. At his arraignment on May 9, 1989, he pled not guilty. On February 20, 1990, a twelve-member jury found him guilty of attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
