A jury convicted Claymore of sexual abuse of a minor in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1153 and 2243(a). At the time of the incidents Claymore was thirty-six years old and employed by the Oglala Sioux Tribe Public Safety Commission as a tribal police officer on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
