In this case, plaintiff Anheuser-Busch sued defendants for selling souvenir T-shirts that plaintiff claimed infringed its Budweiser beer trademarks. The jury returned a verdict in favor of defendants, finding that defendants' T-shirt design did not create a likelihood of consumer confusion, but the district judge granted plaintiff's motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
