On February 5, 1991, defendant, Eugene Deal, was charged by bill of information with two counts of distribution of cocaine, bearing docket number 229,803, violations of La.R.S. 40:967 A(1). Defendant was charged with having committed these offenses on November 29, 1990 and December 6, 1990.
