ARNOT, Justice.

Curtis McGlothlin, the former Chief of Police at Meridian, was indicted for the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl. At trial, appellant originally entered a plea of nolo contendere. When it appeared that the complainant would not testify, appellant changed his plea to not guilty. However, the complainant did testify, and the jury found appellant guilty and assessed punishment at confinement...
