Homeowners filed suit alleging their mortgage company unilaterally cancelled their mortgage protection policy and, without notice, substituted a policy with significantly less benefits. Finding that the mortgage company's conduct was unconscionable, committed knowingly, and false, misleading and/or deceptive, the jury awarded actual damages of $70,275, additional damages of $100,000, and attorney's fees amounting...
