The defendant, Gilbert Hammonds, appeals from the circuit court's denial of his petition for post-conviction relief. Hammonds argues that he was denied effective assistance of counsel prior to and at the time he entered his guilty plea to the charge of murder and that he was denied his right to a full evidentiary hearing on his post-conviction petition. He prays that this court remand this cause for such a hearing...
