This is a tort action against a public employer to recover damages for personal injuries and consequential damages alleged to have resulted from the negligence of the defendant's employees on or about June 13, 1985. The defendant moved to dismiss the action on the ground that the plaintiffs had failed to comply with the presuit presentment requirement of G.L.c. 258, § 4 (1988 ed.), and the motion was allowed.
