The sole question before us in this certified appeal is whether the provision of the statute of frauds, General Statutes § 52-550 (a) (5),1 requiring a writing for an "agreement that is not to be performed within one year from the making thereof," renders unenforceable an oral contract that fails to specify explicitly the time for performance when performance of that contract...
