The complainant testified at trial that he was the victim of a hold up attempt as he sat in his car waiting for a red light. After co-defendant Sostre pointed a gun at the complainant's head, defendant tried to grab the gold chains that the complainant was wearing. When another car approached the intersection, Sostre withdrew the gun and the complainant escaped. Defendant and Sostre then fled, but a short time later they were pointed out by the complainant to plainclothes...
