Defendant was indicted under N.C.G.S. § 14-214 for making a fraudulent statement to an insurance company. She was tried and convicted 20 September 1989. On 23 October 1989 the court entered judgment sentencing defendant to the presumptive term of two years, with said sentence being suspended for a period of five years and defendant placed on supervised probation for five years.
