The defendant was charged with six counts of rape without force of each of two children, between September 1, 1988, and February 28, 1989. A Superior Court judge allowed the defendant's motion for a required finding of not guilty on ten of the twelve indictments, and the jury found the defendant guilty of one count of rape of each child.
