The defendant, Darryl Christy, was charged in a single bill of information with six counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62.2. He pled not guilty and elected trial by jury. At the trial, at the close of State's case, the prosecutor dismissed count five because the victim could not be located.
