LUMBARD, Circuit Judge:

Lewis Novod appeals his conviction on seven counts of perjury, six counts of mail fraud, seven counts of wire fraud, and one count of conspiracy following a December 1989 jury trial in the District Court for the Southern District of New York. He was acquitted of three counts of mail fraud and one count of perjury. Judge Vincent L. Broderick imposed concurrent sentences of ten months' imprisonment followed by three years' supervised release...
