Plaintiff, Teche Bank & Trust Company, loaned money in 1982 to Wilbert Albert and Betty Jane Granger Albert, who were doing business as Wilbert Albert's Shell Station. The debt was evidenced by a promissory note and secured by a mortgage on two parcels of land.
