Defendants Boisey Beverly, Carl Sykes, Emanuel Brown, and Delores Scott were convicted of various drug trafficking charges, including a conspiracy to possess and distribute drugs. They do not appeal this conviction. In the same trial they were also convicted for using a firearm in relation to those drug trafficking crimes.1 They appeal this conviction.
