ENOCH, Chief Justice.

Billy Ross Sims appeals his two convictions for murder. Sims pleaded guilty to both offenses, and the court assessed punishment at two life sentences pursuant to a plea bargain. In his pro se appeal, Sims claims his guilty pleas were not entered voluntarily and knowingly because he was denied the effective assistance of counsel.
