A jury convicted defendant, Curtis Grisby, Jr., of possession of phencyclidine, a schedule II controlled substance, § 195.020 RSMo 1986 (now repealed). The court sentenced defendant as a prior offender to five years imprisonment. On appeal defendant alleges the trial court erred in overruling his motion for judgment of acquittal because the state failed to establish a valid chain of custody for exhibits admitted into evidence.
