Defendant-appellant Marden Terry Register (Register) was indicted on February 21, 1989, for conspiring to possess cocaine with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 846; for possessing cocaine on January 20 and 22, 1989, with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1)1; and for using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime...
