This is a pretrial appeal by the state pursuant to Minn.R.Crim.P. 28.04, subd. 1(1) from an order suppressing incriminating statements made by respondent.

FACTS

On November 15, 1990, at about 1:45 a.m., St. Paul Police Officer Jeffery Hutchinson stopped respondent John Lynch after seeing him drive his car through a stop sign. Lynch was subsequently charged with engaging in prostitution, a gross misdemeanor, Minn...
