Defendant, Gerald Gaines, Jr., was charged with two counts of burglary, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:62, one count of felony theft of property valued in excess of $1000 and one count of felony theft of property valued in excess of $100 but less than $500, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:67. Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, the State dismissed the two burglary charges, and defendant pleaded guilty to one felony theft and one misdemeanor theft. After a presentence...
