On March 30, 1987, appellant Donn Paul Gladding, a juvenile, was charged with delinquency for the offenses of rape, kidnapping and theft. On May 9, 1988, the juvenile court relinquished jurisdiction and transferred the case to the Lake County Common Pleas Court, where appellant was tried as an adult.
