BRICKLEY, J.

Seven-year-old Jason Green entered Berrien General Hospital as an inpatient on December 26, 1984, and died less than forty-eight hours later. His parents, plaintiffs in this action, filed a wrongful death action against the hospital and Jason's attending nurses, defendants Hardy and Dennis. The trial court granted summary disposition for the defendants, and the Court of Appeals affirmed, holding that governmental immunity
