Arlington Leon Brown, an inmate of Florida's state prison system, filed this civil rights action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging that his constitutional rights were violated when the defendants failed to protect him from being attacked by another inmate, deliberately denied him medical care, and threw out some of his personal effects.
