This litigation arises out of an alleged negligent sale of kerosene on November 11, 1986. On that date, plaintiff's wife purchased from defendants what she believed to be kerosene for use in a kerosene heater. Unfortunately, according to plaintiff the can was filled with gasoline which, when placed in the heater, caused a fire and burned plaintiff.
