This matter is before the court on appeal from the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. The facts giving rise to this appeal are as follows.

On March 10, 1987, appellee, Gene W. Borton, was driving along 1-475 in Toledo, Ohio, when he hit a disabled vehicle which was parked along the lefthand berm.
