In this diversity action, Susan Hanley appeals the district court's grant of a defense motion for summary judgment. We reverse and remand.

I. FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

In the summer of 1986, Thomas Forester, Jr. (Tommy), a resident of Mississippi, while on a pleasure trip and while intoxicated, drove his Corvette automobile into oncoming traffic on a Florida highway. The resulting head-on collision near Pensacola claimed Tommy's life...
