In this action brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001 to 1461 (1988), we must review the interpretation of two insurance policies. The insured, Harold Henkin, was covered by two group accidental death policies issued pursuant to his employment. Henkin died thirty-one days after he was fired from that employment.
