In 1985 Deborah Jones pled guilty to possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and received a five-year suspended sentence conditioned on good behavior. In August 1988, the State filed a petition to revoke her suspended sentence, charging that she had committed burglary and theft. After a hearing in February 1989, the circuit judge revoked her suspended sentence and sentenced her to five years imprisonment with three and one-half years suspended...
