The defendant, Jorge Avila, was charged by bill of information filed on February 25, 1988 with aggravated burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60 and armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64.1 He was arraigned on the same day and pled not guilty.
