Ernest Starks, defendant, appeals his conviction, by a twelve member jury, of the second degree murder (LSA-R.S. 14:30.1) of William Barrow, III. He was sentenced to the mandatory term of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
