ALLEN, Chief Justice.

Defendant was convicted after a court trial of knowingly dispensing a regulated drug (marijuana), 18 V.S.A. § 4224(g), and was sentenced to a term of from eighteen months to three years. He appeals his conviction and we affirm.

On the date of the alleged offense, February 16, 1985, defendant was incarcerated at the Addison County Jail in Middlebury, serving fifteen weekends on unrelated charges. On January 12, 1985 another inmate...
