NIMMONS, Judge.

The claimant challenges the deputy commissioner's ruling that his claim for workers' compensation benefits is barred by the statute of limitations. We agree with appellant that the employer/carrier is estopped from asserting the defense of statute of limitations, and therefore reverse.
