On November 9, 1987, defendant, Roy Bennett, was charged by amended bill of information with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:26 and R.S. 14:30(A)(4), and with solicitation to commit or cause to be committed first or second-degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:28.1 and R.S. 14:30(A)(4) or R.S. 14:30.1(A)(1).
