Defendant, Carlton Ray Greene,1 was charged by a grand jury indictment with aggravated rape (Count I) and aggravated burglary (Count II), violations of La.R.S. 14:42 and 14:60, respectively. He was tried by a jury which convicted him as charged. The trial court sentenced him to consecutive terms of imprisonment at hard labor for life, without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on Count I, and for thirty...
