On March 2, 1988, appellee, Dupont Plaza Associates (DPA), filed suit in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County against Abraham Teferi, appellant, seeking compensatory and punitive damages. DPA's three count complaint, alleging conversion, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty, related that Teferi had embezzled over $50,000 from DPA while employed by it.
