In front of several witnesses, the defendant shot Benedicto Muniz Jr. and, along with Antonio Calderane, stole money from the mortally wounded victim. The defendant claims on appeal, inter alia, that he was deprived of a fair trial because the court failed to provide him with the assistance of a Spanish interpreter throughout the proceedings.
