GAUDIN, Judge.

Peter Salatich, III was convicted of manslaughter in the 24th Judicial District Court. The jury vote was 10-2 and the defendant was sentenced to five years at hard labor with credit for time served.

Salatich contends that the trial judge erred (1) in denying the motion to suppress his confession and inculpatory statement and (2) in admitting into evidence prejudicially gruesome photographs of the victim.
