This appeal arises out of simple breach of contract actions. Appellant Wayne Hollingsworth, a lawyer, built an expensive house for himself and his family on the shore of a lake in Maine. He decided to act as his own general contractor, at least in respect to landscaping. Instead of using readily available printed form contracts, he made oral contracts with the appellees, the Warren Construction Co., and the Applewood Landscape and Nursery Co...
