MAGILL, Circuit Judge.

After a two-day jury trial, Bernard Ray Young (Young) was convicted of assault resulting in serious bodily injury, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1153 and 113(f). The district court1 sentenced Young to seventy-eight months in prison to be followed by two years of supervised release. We affirm the conviction and sentence.
