The appellant, PaineWebber Incorporated, filed a civil action in Illinois state court against Edward Jacks. Jacks, along with Franklin Farnam, Robert Farnam, and John Farnam, subsequently filed arbitration complaints against PaineWebber with the National Association of Securities Dealers, Incorporated...
