The plaintiff, Fourth Street Pub, Inc., owned an eating and drinking establishment in South Boston known as the Fourth Street Pub (the bar), which the defendant, National Union Fire Insurance Company, insured against fire loss. On July 17, 1983, the bar was severely damaged by fire.
