Defendant David Boyd was charged by bill of indictment with two counts of distribution of marijuana, in violation of La.R.S. 40:966. He was found guilty by a jury on both counts. After a brief hearing on a motion for new trial, the defendant waived sentencing delays, and was sentenced to five years at hard labor on each count, to run concurrently.
