Her claim is based on the following events, which occurred about ten years ago: (1) Brown opened a search for candidates for the Henry R. Luce Professorship of The Comparative Study of Development; (2) it narrowed the field to three candidates, of whom Seidman was the third choice; (3) it offered the job to the first two choices, both men...
