Armando Buitrago petitions this court for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 and moves for appointment of counsel. Buitrago was convicted of two counts of first degree robbery after a jury trial in the Supreme Court of New York, Bronx County. He was sentenced as a second violent felony offender to two concurrent 10-20 year terms of imprisonment. The Appellate Division affirmed the conviction without opinion. People...
