The defendant, Felix Rodriguez, Jr., was originally charged with armed robbery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. Pursuant to a plea bargain, he pled guilty to first degree robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64.1. The trial court sentenced him to twelve years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. This sentence was affirmed on appeal.
